5 Books That I'm Thankful For

Over here in Canada it is time for thanksgiving. So in honour of the holiday I thought I would do a post about 5 books that I'm thankful for. All of the books mentioned are close to my heart and I connect with them and have sentimental value for different reasons. All are important, and I thought I would share with you why they're so important to me.

October 2016 TBR

For the month of October, I have decided once again to go with a themed TBR. And of course if it is October it has to be Halloween and scary themed! All of the book on my TBR this month are all going to be scary or mystery books that I've been meaning to read. I haven't yet chosen a costume for Halloween, I'm having a really hard time choosing. I know I want to be a bookish character but I'm not sure who I want to do yet. Without further ado, here are my spooky reads for the month of October!

Book Review: The Light Fantastic
By: Sarah Combs

Seven tightly interwoven narratives. Three harrowing hours. One fateful day that changes everything.

Delaware, the morning of April 19. Senior Skip Day, and April Donovan’s eighteenth birthday. Four days after the Boston Marathon bombing, the country is still reeling, and April’s rare memory condition has her recounting all the tragedies that have cursed her birth month. And just what was that mysterious gathering under the bleachers about? Meanwhile, in Nebraska, Lincoln Evans struggles to pay attention in Honors English, distracted by the enigmatic presence of Laura Echols, capturer of his heart. His teacher tries to hold her class’s interest, but she can’t keep her mind off what Adrian George told her earlier. Over in Idaho, Phoebe is having second thoughts about the Plan mere hours before the start of a cross-country ploy led by an Internet savant known as the Mastermind. Is all her heartache worth the cost of the Assassins’ machinations? The Light Fantastic is a tense, shocking, and beautifully wrought exploration of the pain and pathos of a generation of teenagers on the brink—and the hope of moving from shame and isolation into the light of redemption.

September 2016 Wrap Up

The month of September wasn't a very good reading month for me. I knew I had a lot on my plate and I wasn't going to be able going to be able to read my entire TBR, but I did expect to read more than one of the books on it. So I was a very bad reader this month. Not to make excuses, but I did do some reading I just forgot about some prior commitments I had made for September and I needed to get through those before I could move onto my TBR. So here are the four books I read in the month of September!

September 2016 TBR

Hello and welcome to my September TBR! I've decided to get into a more structured settlement recently for my blog and book tube channel and so I've decided to do a monthly TBR. With September we have the start of fall, sweater weather, pumpkin spiced lattes and kids heading back to school. With that in mind I decided to have a theme for this month's TBR which is Back to School. I've picked books inspired by the various classes we have in school.

E- Manga Review: Emma Story
By: Jane Austen

"Emma brings Jane Austen's classic tale of youthful folly and romantic exuberance to a modern audience with this beautiful, new manga adaptation. The impulsive match-making of Emma Woodhouse delivers both humor and heartache through the gorgeous artwork of manga-ka Po Tse (Manga Classics: Pride and Prejudice). - Manga Classics editions feature classic stories, faithfully adapted and illustrated in manga style, and available in both hardcover and softcover editions. Proudly presented by UDON Entertainment and Morpheus Publishing."
